For all of us at Zinschitz Yacht Service, it is important that sailing is carefree. This of course depends on the quality of our work, but let’s not forget communication aspects. When you come to us with work, it’s great if you do this with a good feeling. To help you in advance, here’s an impression of who we are and what we do.

Thomas Zinschitz, founder and owner of the company has spent his whole life working with boats. It really is his "thing". As a seven year old boy, he started in a rowing boat on the moat of the castle of Rhoon and the Bergse lakes. Later as a scout, he took to the lakes and rivers of Holland in one of the small scouting vessels. Over the years, the boats have become somewhat larger; they have turned into yachts and ships.

With training as a ships engineer and a long career in this line of work, all technical aspects of shipping have passed the review. This means that he knows the work inside out and is quick to tell the difference between facts and fiction. That means that you know exactly where you stand.

Growth

Meanwhile, the company has grown considerably. In 2016 we realised our move to Hellevoetsluis. We are in a beautiful new building, on the water, with mooring facilities on the doorstep and a 7.5 ton crane available. Aside of this, the entire energy supply comes from environmentally friendly sources. The electricity is green and is extracted by means of solar panels on the roof; the heating is provided by ground heat. We are very proud of our location.

We?

Yes! We! Over the past period, we have grown from a one-man business to a flexible organization with several people.

Lauren Zinschitz has joined our team. She takes care of all administrative work, marketing and communication via social media. Planning is also part of her work, and when necessary she puts on an overall to help out in the workshop or on location.

Arunas Simkus is our all-rounder. His strong point is definitely fiberglass (polyester, epoxy) and gelcoat repairs, but installation and repair work poses no problem for him. His actual profession is welding, so we can provide all welding work, including stainless steel.

William Godijn is the ships carpenter. Repairs to the interior up to a full-scale refit of your ship are taken care of by him. William is a true professional, providing absolute quality and tailor-made solutions.
